Proxy Falls Loop Three Sisters Wilderness

Proxy Falls Loop (Three Sisters Wilderness) Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This short, easy loop visits two spectacular waterfalls in the Cascade Mountains, each about 200 feet high. The sign at the trailhead advises users to begin the loop using the trailhead on the right, not the left, and then to proceed counterclockwise. However, if you start on the left, as most people seem to do, it is only one-third as far to the first falls turnoff.

Both the trailhead map and the Forest Service detail map incorrectly show the right-and left-hand loops as about the same length. Actually, the left-hand side of the loop is much shorter. The right-hand loop, although longer, is still pretty short, quite scenic, and highly recommended, crossing some interesting and rugged lava outcrops. The right-hand loop is also a little steeper."
