Middle Fork Willamette River: Oakridge to Lookout Point Lake Professional Review and Guide
"This is a beautiful run for a sunny day in October, when the discharge from Hills Creek Dam is increased and before winter rains have brought up other rivers. The banks are lined with trees, so houses and roads seldom intrude upon the landscape. The current is fast, creating frequent class 1 and 2 rapids of all shapes and sizes. It is a challenging run for the novice, exciting for most open canoers, and nice and splashy for more experienced boaters. You will probably see a number of drift boaters and shore-bound fly anglers; be courteous by giving them a wide berth. Character: forested hills."
