Eugene Ramble

Eugene Ramble Professional Review and Guide

"Eugene is one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the US and has been recognized for more than a decade as a leader in encouraging bicycle riding. This ride follows the Willamette River bicycle path system, which connects riverfront parks, Recreation centers, and the Univ. of Oregon between the cities of Springfield and Eugene. There are paths on both sides of the river and four bridges reserved exclusively for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Along it you will experience the joys of bicycling and the charms of a well-landscaped city that maintains abundant green space within walking distance of downtown. The last part of this ride, between Alton Baker Park in Eugene and Island Park in Springfield in one of the nicest. The path winds through dense woods, along churning river rapids, and through a pleasant Springfield neighborhood. Terrain: flat."
