North Fork Catherine Creek

North Fork Catherine Creek Professional Review and Guide

"A backpacking and stock trail winds through the Catherine Creek meadows along the North Fork of Catherine Creek. The forest along this creek bottom is a mix of ponderosa pine, spruce, and cottonwood. There are also some open areas and some brush.

After crossing the North Fork Catherine Creek, the trail crosses one more stream, Chop Creek, before reaching the Eagle Cap Wilderness boundary (5,090 ft.) at 2 miles. Just past the wilderness boundary the trail crosses Jim Creek. Three hundred yards past the wilderness boundary there is a meadow between the trail and the North Fork Catherine Creek. There are several campsites along the creek here, with paths leading down to them from the trail."
