Lodgepole pine and spruce enclose this campground and rustic cabin at the edge of picturesque Olallie Meadows—a rich, moist, textured meadow of grasses, wildflowers, and blueberries. You can sometimes spy deer or sandhill cranes in the lea. Views include Olallie, Sisi, and Badger Buttes. Horses may be tethered to horse trailers at camp, but the animals are not allowed in the meadow. The trail to Russ Lake begins at camp and passes two other mountain lakes along the way. Come prepared for mosquitoes. The forest service is considering making this an overflow camp facility, so you might be directed first to one of the other camps.
