Olallie Lakes Professional Review and Guide
"Highlights here include many large beautiful lakes (some accessible by car, some by trail) in a resort area on the edge of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. Close-up views of Olallie Butte. The last 2 miles are exceedingly rough and may not be passable for all vehicles.
The outstanding scenery of this drive starts with Brook Lake at Olallie Meadow, 2 miles past the junction of FR 4690 with FR 4220. From Olallie Meadow, it’s 4 miles to 240-acre Olallie Lake, where there are wonderful views of Olallie Butte, a 7,222-foot cinder cone rising immediately east. Multiple trailheads in the vicinity lead to the butte, as well as numerous lakes of all sizes. Fifteen-acre Lower Lake, reached via a half-mile path from the Lower Lake Campground, offers the shortest and prettiest trail.
There’s a campground near Brook Lake at Olallie Meadow; there are multiple campgrounds, picnic sites, and a store at Olallie Lake."
