Upper Three Creek Snow Park Road Professional Reviews and Guides

"This loop includes 4.1 miles of pavement, 7.8 miles of dirt and gravel roads, and 6.9 miles of single-track. The scenery is very fine, with lovely views of Middle and North Sister from the Metolius/Windigo Trail. You will enjoy a feeling of remoteness while riding this trail.

Length, technical difficulties, and significant climbs add up to make this a demanding loop. Parts of the trail are steep, rocky, and sandy. Be advised that the Metolius/Windigo Trail is technically demanding and, at times, hard to follow. Carry the district map, a compass, and be prepared to spend some time getting unlost. Begins at Upper Three Creek Lake Sno-Park, about 11 miles south of Sisters."

"This trip consists of an 8 Mile loop and a 2.6 mile out-and-back. There are .4 mile of pavement, 2.3 miles of single-track, and 8.3 miles of dirt and gravel roads. The trail is in mostly good condition, but it does contain one short, steep section that is heavily eroded.

Abrupt drop-offs and narrow, ditch-like conditions characterize this technical stretch. Around each bend in the road is another view of giant snow-capped volcanoes and shimmering snowfields. The scenery is so awesome that one tends to start taking grandeur for granted. Upper Three Creek Lake Sno-Park is about 11 miles south of Sisters."
