Contorta Flat Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"On the south shore of Crescent Lake, this campground occupies a flat of lodgepole pines. Views include Diamond Peak and Red Top Mountain. The lodgepole pines (Pinus contorta), which lend the area its name, grow tall and thin, offering little shade. Afternoon winds and early-summer mosquitoes are common, but the area offers fishing, swimming, sailboarding, and sailing. Trails can be found in the nearby Diamond Peak Wilderness and Oregon Cascades Recreation Area."
