    Mill Creek/Barr Creek Falls

Mill Creek/Barr Creek Falls Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Two very large waterfalls and access to a scenic and geologically intriguing segment of the Rogue River highlight this 1.6-mile hike. Hiking in this area can be a little confusing. There are a number of spur trails and boot paths that closely resemble official trails. Just remember that any junctions of consequence are marked with a hitching post. Not all posts mark junctions, but all official junctions have posts. We’ll get through this together.

The path descends gently into the forest before hitting a switchback and then quickly encountering what looks like your first trail junction. Pay it no heed. Continue hiking 0.2 mile from the trailhead to a junction (hitching post). If you have the time and interest, stay to the left here and continue hiking for another 0.3 mile to a signed junction. To the left a quick path visits the Avenue of Giants—a set of passenger vehicle–size boulders and a nice view of the canyon."
