Over 60 miles of well-maintained forest roads and shared-use trails crisscross the area. This route travels on gravel roads for 12 miles, combining a five-mile loop with a six-mile out-and-back spur and a one-mile out-and-back. The first 1.5 miles are a pleasant warm-up; the roads climb easily and moderately. Then the ascent gets steeper, but the terrain is still mostly moderately difficult. Then you will experience a 500 foot drop, followed by monster climbs working feverishly to keep your front wheel on the ground. Take time to visit the Peavy Arboretum. The ride begins approximately 6 miles northwest of Corvallis.
