Williamson River Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A conversation I had one day with Polly Rosborough, the late and revered fly-tyer, sportsman, and pioneer of the Klamath County Fly Casters, told me a lot about this river in a few words. He said the Williamson is the best “big-fish” water in the country, and I think he was right.

The Williamson was one of the first rivers in Oregon to be managed for wild trout. Types of Fish: Large rainbow trout and protected Lost River suckers. This eTrail covers the "where, when, and how" to fish in this region. You'll get a full-page map and information on the known hatches, suggested equipment to bring, and the best flies to use."
