Digit Point Professional Review and Guide
"More than 1 mile above sea level, this campground claims a broad peninsula on the southwest shore of Miller Lake—an attractive natural lake on the eastern side of the Cascade Crest. Mixed conifers frame the sites and provide shade. A fine 4-mile trail rings the lake, offering a chance to view wildlife. Boating, fishing, and swimming are popular. From the west end of the Miller Lakeshore Trail, hikers can take a spur to the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail or cross over the crest to Maidu Lake. The latter is the head of the North Umpqua Wild and Scenic River and marks the start of the North Umpqua National Recreation Trail. Come prepared for mosquitoes at these high lakes."
