Raspberry Lake

Raspberry Lake Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"An emerald lake surrounded by white azaleas, filled with brook trout, and located just below the Siskiyou Wilderness’s highest peak. There’s room for 10 cars at the trailhead. Permits are required from the Gasquet Ranger Station for campfires or camp stoves. The area is home to a plentiful amount of black bears, so make sure to hang your food.

Although not as visually stunning as its neighbor to the north, Devil’s Punchbowl, Raspberry Lake has better campsites, swimming, and fishing (brook and rainbow trout) and offers the chance to climb Preston Peak, a striking black monolith that’s the highest point in the wilderness."
