This primitive campground is spread along the northern half of 15-acre Bolan Lake, a cold, deep mountain lake that occupies a forest and meadow at the foot of Bolan Mountain. The campground is beautiful and, despite its remoteness, very popular on weekends. A small gravel beach, trout fishing, and nonmotorized boating are the lake attractions. Trails from camp explore the lakeshore and ascend to Bolan Mountain Lookout.
