Wyeth Professional Review and Guide
"This mostly forested campground along Gorton Creek has paved roads and site parking, with ample spacing between the sites. Small firs and bigleaf maples offer shade. By this point, the Columbia River Gorge is beginning to transition out of the thick woods at its west end to the grassland steppes at its east end. You can access the Gorge and Wyeth Trails from camp. Small cascades and falls contribute to the character of Gorton Creek. The Wyeth area was an early Oregon Territory settlement, a Civilian Conservation Corps Camp in the 1930s, and a Conscientious Objector camp in the 1940s."
