Calapooia River: Bridge 4 Miles above Holley to McKercher Park Professional Review and Guide
"On this run, the gradient slackens considerably compared to the upper run. The relatively easy rapids and numerous riffles make it a good choice for open canoes. Two rather rocky rapids present within the first 0.5 mile. Along miles 2 and 3, the river winds its way through farmland but maintains reasonable speed. The most difficult rapid is over a rocky shelf 0.2 mile below the double bridges at Crawfordsville. Character: rural."
