Harris Beach State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Occupying a prized coastal location, this developed campground sits back from the ocean in dense vegetation. A wildlife refuge on Goat Island, weathered cliffs, sea stacks, and a sandy beach are among its attractions. The Viewpoint Trail leads from camp to an overlook of a natural bridge. Sea- and shorebirds can animate the scene. To the north, Samuel H. Boardman State Park offers hiking, picnicking, quiet beaches, and ocean vistas. Fishing the Chetco River or visiting the shops and eateries of Brookings can help fill out an itinerary."
