Alfred A. Loeb State Park Professional Review and Guide
"Situated along the north bank of the pristine Chetco River, this quiet campground occupies a scenic grove of old-growth myrtles intermixed with evergreens. The park’s Riverside Trail journeys upstream along the steep riverbank to link up with the forest service’s Redwood Nature Trail, which traverses the nation’s northernmost redwood grove. A crosswalk links the two trails for a 2.5-mile round-trip hike. The big attraction though is fishing the Chetco River. And for sheer relaxation, how can you miss with such an inviting camp setting?"
