Springwater Corridor

Springwater Corridor Professional Review and Guide

"The Springwater Corridor parallels the Willamette River and Johnson Creek from inner Southeast Portland to Gresham and beyond. It’s Portland’s best-loved multi-use path, a classic ride welcoming cyclists of all abilities.

One of the trail’s many virtues is its scenic variety, from surprisingly wild creekside stretches to industrial, suburban, and eventually rural sections. In between are some excellent parks and natural areas. For the sake of description, think of the trail as three sections: Springwater on the Willamette, Sellwood to Gresham, and Gresham to Boring. The first section runs south along the Willamette River to the Sellwood neighborhood. A gap in the trail sends you through Sellwood on city streets—not such a bad thing as this is one of Portland’s most charming neighborhoods."
