This campground occupies an old-growth stand along the South Fork McKenzie River, just upstream from its confluence with the Roaring River. If you continue south past camp a short distance on FR 19, you will be able to view the Roaring River, a fastplunging river of white bubbles fanning the lush greenery at its sides. The campground appeals to anglers, hikers, and camp “slugs.” The ancient trees, lovely undergrowth, and hush of the river together shape a soothing backdrop for your stay. Trails lead upstream along the South Fork and a side creek.
