Tangent / Quarry Site 1041 Loop Professional Review and Guide
"This ride involves a 10.4 mile loop and two short out-and-back spurs. The climbing on the circuit is mostly easy, with several uphills that will require a more concerted effort. The road conditions vary greatly over the course of the ride. Forest Service Road 4615 is in good condition. Most of the remaining miles are on dirt roads, and some stretches are very thick with volcanic pumice. These soft sections are loose and make pedaling difficult, you may have to push your bike through some of these areas. The views from Quarry Site 1041 is the highlight of this trip. A short scramble up a steep hillside reveals a lovely view of the surrounding forests and mountains. This ride starts at the Virginia Meissner Sno-Park, approximately 13 miles west of Bend."
