Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Together with Mallard Marsh Campground, this camp provides access to Hosmer Lake, a scenic wetland and open water that is stocked with trout and Atlantic salmon for catch-and-release fly fishing only. The large lake is ideal for canoeing. You can paddle through open water and reeds, grasses, and water lilies; watch for wildlife; and enjoy the watery reflections of Mount Bachelor and Red Crater. Like Mallard Marsh, this campground is situated among the lodgepole pines and firs. Because its road is often rutted, the camp is unsuitable for big RVs."
