Sisters Mirror Lake

Sisters Mirror Lake Professional Review and Guide

"A day hike to a group of small lakes in the Three Sisters Wilderness. This hike features numerous small lava flows. Sisters Mirror Lake is a shallow one, set in a large meadow.

By walking around the southwest side of the lake, you will see the summit of South Sister reflected in the lake, rising above the forested skyline of The House Rock in the foreground. Permit: Required for day and overnight hikes; self issue at trailhead."

Although this hike is about 8 miles, it's still very easy for just about anyone to do. The trail crosses a creek and goes in a lovely green forest. In addition to seeing Sisters Mirror Lake, there are several other smaller lakes nearby. What's amazing to me about the trail is that you can still see snow even in the summer. There are several pretty meadows around the smaller lakes. This is a very peaceful hike in a beautiful place.
