Secrets of the Winter Forest: Deschutes National Forest Professional Review and Guide
"Unlock the secrets of the winter wilderness and the creatures that manage to survive there while taking a guided snowshoe tour through the high country of the Cascade Mountains. Meet at the Mount Bachelor Ski and Sports Center on the south side of the parking lot. Trips leave at 10 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. During the course of the easy walk through the forest, guides explain the intricacies of winter ecology as you watch for wildlife and follow the tracks of snowshoe hares, American martens, and foxes. The guides also provide tips on traveling safely in the winter wilderness."
