This challenging route takes you to the summit of 4,138-foot Pilot Butte in Pilot Butte State Park. Mountain and city views. This route winds to the summit of Pilot Butte, giving you a 360-degree view of the surrounding high-desert country. You’ll get an outstanding dirt track, a short intense cardio workout, and views of the gorgeous Central Cascade Mountains and city of Bend. A trail-run race is held annually at the top of this spectacular butte (contact information is under the month of September in the Race Calendar). Rest rooms are available at the trailhead.
