Lava Flow Professional Review and Guide
"This family campground rests in a mixed forest punctuated by big trees alongside a lava flow at Davis Lake, a large natural lake. From camp you can see where fire has silvered parts of the lake basin. The camp’s southern extent adds dispersed sites, expanding the camping opportunity after September. Until then, nesting bald eagles have the sole occupancy of this gated reach. Davis Lake is open to fly fishing only. Because the shallow lake provides essential habitat for wildlife, small, quiet boats are in order."
