Site of Oregon’s largest ponderosa pine, this state park offers a pleasant campground and day-use area along the Deschutes River and within easy access of the sights and activities of Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Above the river the camp offers developed, easy-to-access sites in an open stand of lodgepole and ponderosa pines. The sites with sewers are more closely spaced. Near camp, a trail travels along the rim overlooking the river.
