Horse Butte Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The Horse Butte Loop is known in Central Oregon as a great spot for winter riding, running, and hiking. The attractive loop also makes up the Horse Butte 10-Miler, which has become known to local runners as the unofficial spring kick-off to trail racing.
The run is a good one any time of year, though it can get very hot and dusty in the summer. Regardless of the season, however, you’ll be guaranteed gorgeous, open views of the Cascade Mountains and closeup views of the area’s namesake butte—a reddish-tinted structure that’s striking in and of itself. The run can be undertaken clockwise or counterclockwise."
