This gorgeous (and very popular) route travels uphill paralleling enchanting Fall Creek and then enters the Green Lakes Basin. The return loop takes you on the Soda Creek Trail through more gorgeous Three Sisters Wilderness. Bridgeless creek crossings. Mountain views. Rest rooms (no water) are available at the trailhead. The initial 4 miles of this trail deliver gobs of beautiful creek scenery on brilliant dirt. You’ll most likely be treading with many other high-spirited trail users, but the path is generally wide and passing is easy. Get psyched to charge up a couple of short steep sections before reaching the Green Lakes Basin. After 4 miles you’ll leave the masses behind and wind up the southern flanks of Broken Top through gorgeous open country. Especially nice is the Green Lakes Basin, with the South Sister looming in the background. Head back on the Soda Creek Trail. Initially you’ll dump some altitude, but the last couple of miles are on speed-inspiring flat sandy trail. Rest rooms (no water) are at the trailhead.

Ive hiked the Todd lake to Green Lakes Basin several times.I believe our trailhead fees and taxes are doing a wonderful job and the Sierra Club needs to keep their ... out of it.
