Lodgepole pines enfold this campground on the north shore of Elk Lake. While the camp has a couple of pull-through sites, many of the sites offer uneven or otherwise difficult parking, so RVers will need to search for the ideal site. Elk Lake is a 390-acre natural lake that hosts boating (10 miles per hour limit), fishing, and sailboarding. A lakeside resort rents boats. Hiking is also popular. Across the lake you can see Mount Bachelor peeking over a ridge.
