This is one of the short (you can do it in about 2 hours), fun, and easy loop trails among the Edison Butte area’s veritable spaghetti-noodle pile of trails that crisscross each other through dense forests of ponderosa and lodgepole pine. The Edison Butte area is a newer addition to central Oregon’s winter trails bounty, and the diversity of trails and routes here are well appreciated by skiers and ’shoers alike. The trails are all well marked and easy to follow, with occasional head-scratching induced by the multiple trail junctions. Keep your cool, however, and you’ll get a fun day out of twisting and turning through the forest.
