Alder Glen Recreation Site

Alder Glen Recreation Site Professional Review and Guide

"In a moss-draped alder and maple setting, this welcoming Nestucca River campground sits across the river from a lacy, pyramid-shaped waterfall. Sites have paved parking spaces, and a paved path leads to a small fishing dock. The relaxing sound of the water erases campers’ cares.

This campsite offers 11 basic sites, but no hookups. Maximum RV length is 40 feet."

Camped at Oak Fork Campground. Prime spot next to lake. Great camping but the campground police will get you for EVERYTHING $$. Extra parking, make sure you are completely out of your ground by 1pm, etc. Otherwise, great place. Last minute family car camping trip found us at Little Crater Lake. Well maintained, little traffic. Nearby marshland does mean there will be bugs if in season. We did think $16 per night for site was a bit steep. We had an extra car that took it up to $24 per night. Camp host from nearby Clear Lake was very helpful.

Hoodview is our new favorite campground in the Mt. Hood area. Perfect for canoeing, hiking, and relaxing.

We had been looking for a good hike to hit, that, wasn't kill you steepand had campsites open. The 13 mile hiker biker trail around Timothy lake was almost breath taking and tuff enough to leave us feeling acomplished. Not to mention all the little chipmunks running around. It was a great time.

We camped at Gone Creek. The campground is great, with big camp spots. The campground hosts were really friendly and very helpful. We kayaked on the lake Saturday. Will definetly return.
