This is a moderately difficult 13.5 mile loop (including 5.5 miles of single-track). The climbing on Brown Mountain Trail is mostly easy, but the riding is made more difficult by protruding obstacles like rocks and roots. The condition of the trail improves after the first mile. The route follows gravel roads for 4.7 miles, paved roads for 3.3 miles. The cycling on the roads is divided between easy uphill pedaling on one half and level pedaling and downhill cruising on the other. The ride ends with a moderately difficult (but short) ascent. Begins near Lake of the woods, about 30 miles northeast of Ashland, and approximately 40 miles west of Klamath Falls.

Beautiful area, not very steep, but lots of roots and rocks make for slow going.
