The main stem of the Alsea River provides a number of runs that are used by numerous drift boat anglers, as well as beginning canoers and kayakers. The river usually becomes too low in the summer to negotiate in anything but a swimsuit and inner tube. Any of numerous possible runs can be designed between the river access points described below. The milepost markers are along Oregon 34; river distances are greater than the road miles.
