The official literature brands John Bryan State Park as “the most scenic state park in western Ohio.” They got that right. The park is home to a remarkable limestone gorge cut by the Little Miami River, a designated State and National Scenic River. A portion of the gorge itself is a National Natural Landmark. There are several ways to experience it. The park is home to a number of trails, with the North Rim and South Gorge Trails particularly nice. They follow the Little Miami through the gorge on opposite sides and let you fish the river and hike it to look for waterfowl, herons, and other wildlife.
