This park is a little one, encompassing just 5 acres. It offers access to the Little Miami Scenic Trail, though, and that’s the big draw. The trail runs 75 miles from Springfield in the north to Newtown in the south. It is in many ways two trails in one, with this park very near the line dividing the parts. South of Spring Valley, the trail hugs the Little Miami River and is largely shaded and rural, with pass-throughs of some small towns along the way. North of Spring Valley the trail links larger cities and takes riders past some historic sites. The Xenia Station, a restored train station, is one. The Glen Helen Nature Preserve is also found along the trail’s northern half.
