"This hike offers numerous trailside highlights—fossils, bluff views, a stream, a waterfall, lake views, a historic mill site, lakeside trail, and some extra loops that add to the trail mileage.

Start at a well-maintained recreation area, crossing Caesar Creek Dam spillway, viewing fossils, then turn up Flat Fork, where Horseshoe Falls awaits. Circle around the Flat Fork Valley and cruise the shore of Caesar Creek Lake, looping back from Wellman Boat Ramp."
