Van Buren State Park Professional Review and Guide
"This is a lovely little park in northwestern Ohio, a 251-acre patch of woods surrounded by rolling farm country. It’s a peaceful place to get away. Its lake—open to electric motors only and non-powered craft—offers some decent fishing and some very nice flatwater paddling. There are calm days when dipping your paddle into the water is like splitting a piece of glass. More than anything, though, this park attracts people looking to explore its woods. Van Buren is particularly popular with horseback riders, who have their own campground. It leads directly to four bridle trails meandering around and through the park’s eastern end."
