Blues Creek Preserve

Blues Creek Preserve Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This hike at a nature- oriented Delaware County park explores a patchwork of stream, woodlands, wetlands, and hills, as well as restored prairie, all on well- marked and maintained trails that make for an ideal casual walk. Start at the preserve’s north end, visiting Blues Creek and adjacent riparian lands.

The hike then turns into tall forest and makes a loop into a prairie before visiting a managed wetland. Reach the main area of the park, a large restored prairie mixed with small wetlands, enhancing wildlife habitat. Finally, tour the picnic area and a fishing pond on your return trip."
