Deer Creek State Park Vistas

Deer Creek State Park Vistas Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This trek combines several interconnected hiker- only trails on a high peninsula overlooking Deer Creek Lake. Start on the Ridge Trail, passing a wildlife blind before opening onto a grassy hill above the lake and your first aquatic panoramas. The second loop, the appropriately named Lakeview Trail, presents better reservoir views. Then comes the Waterloo Trail, which takes you along a wooded flat and to more overlooks on the lake. The final trail, Adena Ridge, is the most scenic of them all.

It leads along a slender hilltop jutting into the water. Vistas open as you descend to the shore and a point, where a gravel beach awaits. Your return trip from the beach travels along a bluff with still more views."
