Scioto Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"This is the most unusual hike in the entire guide. The setting is downtown Columbus along the banks of the Scioto River. Start your adventure at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center to join the Scioto Greenway Trail. Follow it southeasterly astride the Scioto River, enjoying distant vantages while often shaded by a tunnel of trees. Pick up a spur trail to an observation platform where you can look upriver and downriver.
Backtrack toward the Audubon Center, then take the Scioto Greenway Trail northbound, still skirting the river. Pick up a series of connector paths to reach the Central Activities Area, where you can climb a water tower for good views of a rock- climbing wall in the foreground and the Columbus skyline in the background. From here it is but a short trek over a boardwalk and other connector paths back to the Audubon Center."
