Kiser Lake State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"There’s nothing quite so colorful or intriguing as a sailboat, its bright flag stretched tight with wind, silently and effortlessly gliding across a lake. That’s just what you’ll see at clear, clean Kiser Lake. Motors are prohibited on this 396-acre lake, so it’s a favorite with sailboaters as well as paddlers. Don’t overlook opportunities to do some exploring on land, too. The park is home to the Kiser Lake Wetlands Nature Preserve, which exists in two tracts on the lake’s south shore. Once a bog and now a mix of meadows, marsh and woods, it’s a place where you can see such unusual wildflowers as big bluestem, queen of the prairie and Ohio goldenrod."
