Mohican State Park Professional Review and Guide
"Several trails provide access to an impressive gorge that will engage all of the senses. But Lyons Falls Trail includes everything that makes the gorge such a natural attraction—boreal-type forest, scenic river, waterfalls, and rock outcroppings. The Clear Fork of the Mohican River parallels the trail with several opportunities to get down to the water. After spying a brown trout feeding in the river, follow the trail up into a wide and deep ravine cradling a tributary to the Clear Fork. At the head of this gorge—and at the neighboring ravine to the north—water falls over a recessed cave, giving the trail its name."
