My son kind of tricked me into going on this trail because it was a lot longer than I expected. We started at the parking lot and walked to the back of the park, and then we picked up the trail to the right and did the rest of the loop around to the front of the park and back to the parking lot. It's mostly a natural trail, and you can look through the trees to the road just outside the trail and see cars going by. For me, this took something away from the experience of being in the woods. The trail is also kind of monotonous even though it's really level which makes it an easier walk. Just your average Metropark trail. The most interesting thing about this park is that there are Paw Paw trees there.
Aside from this trail, there's a nice fishing pond and paddle boats you can rent. We've done both there and it's a nice way to spend the afternoon.
