Mcintosh Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"Orchard Hills Park’s 237 acres served as a golf course in a former life. The property has since been reborn as a Geauga Park District reforested landscape behind Patterson Fruit Farm’s Farm Market thanks in part to a partnership with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, funded in part by the Water Resources Restoration Sponsorship Program of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, the Clean Ohio Conservation Fund, and other public funds. Habitat restoration is the primary focus of the natural resource management plan for Orchard Hills Park.Expect crisp mornings and evenings. Afternoons, too, can be quite chilly if under the cover of trees. Come winter, hikers will usually see plenty of snow accumulation, though climate change has made what was once predictable completely unpredictable. Case in point, 2011-2012 saw one of Cleveland’s least snowy winters on record. The season before saw nearly twice as much snow. Finally, expect plenty of muddy hiking in the rainy Cleveland spring."
