Perry Township Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This park is located right on Lake Erie’s shore, so access to that Great Lake is the main draw. There’s a boat launch; its use is restricted to township residents and campers, so staying here gives you the benefit of its use. The park’s heavily-wooded 70 acres open up onto the water, offering great beach scenes, scattered driftwood and plenty of wildlife. Be sure to bring a camera. The amount and variety of waterfowl and shorebirds can be amazing at certain times of year, with species that are otherwise scarce passing through. The steep, 30-foot-tall bluffs here are especially dramatic. A hiking trail that leads through them is the best way to experience what they are all about. Fishing can be excellent, with walleyes, smallmouth bass, crappies, and yellow perch among the species often caught, sometimes in abundance."
