Dawes Arboretum Professional Review and Guide
"This is an unusual hike. As its name implies, Dawes Arboretum is an interesting collection of trees, plants, and ?owers—a place where roads and trails course through fascinating ?ora, allowing you to view the collection. Much of the terrain is open, however, and is not all dense forest.
From the visitor center, explore the Japanese Garden, then climb Oak Hill. The hike next leads to Pershing Avenue, where trees memorialize war veterans. Pass Dawes Lake and climb a tower that gives a lay of the land. Your return route bisects the Deep Woods, a natural forest, before returning to the visitor center."
