This challenging hike explores the rugged Trace Run section of the Caesar Creek Lake shoreline. A great training hike, it goes up and down, up and down, through hill and hollow. In addition, the hike also has scenic highlights, including multiple shoreline vistas, streamside overlooks, and occasional old trees. You will share the trail with mountain bikers as you first tackle the Red Loop. It borders a big shoreline peninsula before crossing Trace Run. From there, make a large loop that enjoys both shoreline and streamside beauty. Allow ample time for both distance and the challenging terrain.
