This is a great wildlife watching hike, especially for waterfowl enthusiasts. Situated on a lake that was once a commercial fur farm in the Little Miami River Valley, Spring Valley Wildlife Area presents open waters and wetlands, a wetland complex, that attract a diversity of creatures. You will leave the trailhead and take a long boardwalk to an elevated observation deck that allows views near and far. After this, a loop trail circles the lake allowing for more aquatic opportunities along an extended shoreline.
