New Bremen Cruise Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"From the village of New Bremen, just a block from the Bicycle Museum of America, this ride meanders south to Lake Loramie State Park and then north to Grand Lake St. Marys State Park. The route travels through the land of the cross-tipped churches, past scenic farms, and through pleasant villages. It is mostly flat with little traffic. In other words, this ride is not to be missed.
The village of New Bremen was established in 1832 in the wilderness of west-central Ohio by a group of thirty-three German immigrants. They soon converted the wilderness into the scenic and tidy farmland the route traverses. In 1845 the completion of the Miami and Erie Canal between Cincinnati and Toledo brought people and trade to the region, and you will bike past remnants of the canal."
